Clowder 9 Ranch Receives Pet Lover's Grant Award

April 15, 2024 - Clowder 9 Ranch is pleased to share the exciting news that we have been honored with a $3,300.00 grant from the Idaho Pet Lover’s Grant. This grant has been dedicated to assisting in the spaying and neutering of both owned and community cats. Established in 2019 under the Pet-Friendly License Plate bill, a portion of the proceeds generated from the sales of these special plates is channeled into the Pet Lovers Fund. The funds from this account are then distributed annually by an independent steering committee to support spay/neuter services for dogs and cats belonging to low-income residents.

We at Clowder 9 Ranch are grateful for this opportunity and are committed to utilizing this grant effectively to make a positive impact in our community by promoting responsible pet ownership through spaying and neutering initiatives. Thank you to the Idaho Pet Lover’s Grant for their support in our shared mission.

If you, a family member, or neighbor are in need of assistance with spaying or neutering your pet, we are here to help. Please complete our "Spay/Neuter Assistance Application" to open the channels of communication. We look forward to assisting you and your furry companion.

At Clowder 9 Ranch, our primary focus is on promoting the health, safety, and well-being of all animals under our care and within our rural community. We understand the crucial role animals play in maintaining balance within the ecosystem, and we are committed to ensuring their welfare.

In our efforts to prevent overpopulation and improve the overall health of cats, we emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering. Alongside these procedures, administering basic life-saving vaccines such as the FVRCP combo and Rabies vaccines, as well as providing topical parasite treatments, are essential steps in safeguarding against disease and parasites that can affect both community and owned cats.

While the grant funds received through the Pet Lover's Fund are designated for spaying and neutering initiatives, we recognize the significance of also offering vaccines and parasite treatments to the cats benefiting from the 2024 Pet Lover's Grant. To support this cause, we are initiating a fundraising campaign to raise the necessary funds to provide essential vaccines to the cats undergoing the spaying and neutering procedures.

Together, through these comprehensive efforts, we aim to create a healthier and safer environment for all the cats in our care and the broader community they are a part of. Join us in protecting and promoting the well-being of these animals that contribute so significantly to our ecosystem.
